Memorial for Helen Ruth
Earlier this year I shared the news that my grandmother, Helen Ruth—a longtime member of Sunshine Community Gardens—passed away at age 97. Our family will hold a memorial gathering for her at the garden, and Sunshine gardeners are warmly invited.

We’re planning to have a light reception with finger foods afterward, and anyone who wishes to is welcome to bring items to share. Helen gardened at Sunshine for more than two decades after joining in the early 1990s, and Sunshine was a very important part of her life. Our family would be especially grateful to see members of the garden community who knew her or gardened alongside her.
The gathering will include a eulogy and an opportunity for anyone who would like to share memories or say a few words to do so.
