Plant Sale Work Day
It’s time to make the garden tidy and safe for our guests! A workday has been scheduled for Saturday, February 15 from 9-11 a.m.
How do we prep?
- We are gardeners! We have a lot in common. Please ensure the pathways are clear of weeds and easy to walk through.
- Do you have a health supply of garden equipment? Double check your stored items like: tomato cages, rebar and plant stakes to make sure they are not a hazard by securing them and covering any sharp edges.
- Did your peppers give up the ghost? Tidy up your garden by pulling weeds and disposing of plants that have passed their season — those can go to the Whittlesey pile.
- Organize, tidy up and prepare the Garden Port for our peppers and eggplants.
- Are the grassy areas mown or edged inside and out of the fence line? Let’s get those areas some love. The much-needed rain may inspire some early growth!
